At 9 p,m. Tuesday October 1st most of the university’s female demographic were primping themselves for ladies night at Barracudas. Twenty-year-old Vanessa Perez was not one of them. She was washing her clothes on Mahoney Residential College’s third floor laundry room.

She thinks she lost her wallet there.

Fortunately, the wallet was eventually found and a kind Samaritan turned it in to the front desk. The following day, Perez went to claim the wallet. Unfortunately, the $50 in U.S. currency inside had been stolen.

Some might say that the glass is half-full or half-empty depending how you look at it, but Perez’s wallet, well, that’s definitely empty.
