Jess Swanson is a senior at the University of Miami who enjoys writing about herself in third person. She is an English literature and journalism double major at the School of Communication graduating in 2014. She is a staff writer at the Miami Hurricane and copy chief at Distraction magazine. Currently, Jess is an intern at New Times Broward Palm Beach. Previously, she was the editorial intern at Ocean Drive Magazine. Jess was born and raised in Miami and has the aesthetic scars to prove it. In her spare time, she plots ways to return to Australia where she studied abroad her sophomore year. This blog started as her homework for a news blogging class.
